In Memory

Stacy Shramm

Jim Shramm  notified  our reunion website of the passing of Stacy who died on May 13, 2021. Stacy fought hard to survive her ovarian cancer diagnose. She is survived by her husband Tab Stacks and her mother Ann Shramm Williams. At this time I do not have any information regarding any type of service, but will keep you posted.

RIP Stacy

Hi, I'm Tammy Williams, step sister of Stacy. Also class of '76. We met at FIS when Stacy first moved from Chicago. She was in my PE class and I approached her and we talked. We became friends for awhile. We sewed stuffed animals with dreams of saving money to travel. She wanted to visit friends back in Chicago, I wanted to visit freinds back in Ohio. We went to each others houses where I learned her family moved into the previous home of my friend Carol Barrett, who passed away at a young age. It was odd being in that house again off of Starlight Crest, I believe. Stacy and I grew apart, as kids do at that time.

In high school Stacy was active in ASB, drill team. I think she may have been Class President. She enjoyed drama and performed in many plays at LCHS. We lived different lives while my Dad and her Mom dated having met at AA. Dad and Ann were married in 1977, I believe. Stacy was off at college and joined the Peace Corp for a time.

Stacy lived and worked in the Washington DC area most of her adult life. She lived with her beloved husband Tab and their dogs. She was preceeded in death by both her father, my father and her brother John. I am still in touch with Stacys mother Ann, and will kindly pass along any special message or memories anyone may want to share.

I have more information after speaking with Stacys mother, Ann. There is no memorial planned. Stacy died of lung cancer that spread to her brain. She smoked 40 years 1 1/2 packs a day. Stacy was downwind of Chernobyl while in the Peace Corp in Bosnia. She earned 3 degrees and spoke 7 languages fluently! Stacy had friends all over the world. She was 1/8 Cherokee Indian.Donations may be made to Humane Society US. If anyone would like to ontact her mother you may text at 805-558-1781.
